ORDINARY MEMBERSHIP
Membership of MICG includes corporate members and ordinary members. The activities of MICG are managed by a Secretariat under the direction and guidance of the President, assisted by the Management Committee.

CATEGORY OF MEMBERSHIP
The categories of MICG Membership are as follows:
I.Corporate Membership for corporate bodies;
II.Ordinary Membership for individuals; and

III.Honorary Fellow Membership for selected individuals drawn from government/regulatory authorities, institutions of higher learning, etc. or individuals who have contributed significantly to the development of corporate governance in Malaysia.

To join MICG as a Corporate or Ordinary or Honorary Fellow Membership, please select the type of membership you wish to apply for and then complete the appropriate Membership Application Form.

HOW TO PAY
Payment for Corporate and Ordinary applications and/or subscription renewal must be made in the form of cashier’s order/bankers draft/cheque or cash into our Malayan Banking Berhad bank account. Account Number 5-14169152428. Cash payment can only be accepted if you pay at the MICG office. Please do not send cash through the mail.
If you are making payment via cashier’s order/bankers draft/cheque, the cashier’s order/bankers draft/cheque must be made payable to ‘MALAYSIAN INSTITUTE OF CORPORATE GOVERNANCE”. Please include 0.03% on the cheque amount or minimum RM0.50 whichever is higher, if you are paying by outstation cheque. Also, please include your full name, identity card no. and residential address on the reverse side of the cashier’s order/bankers draft/cheque.

RULE AND REGULATIONS
Please submit or post the applications form, membership fees and relevant documents (if necessary) to MICG’s office

All applications will be scrutinised by MICG’s Membership Committee. In the event that this Committee denies membership to an applicant, the payment for membership application/subscription will be refunded immediately. The membership fee covers a period of a year from the date at which the membership subscription payment is received.

Applicants must commit to abide by the MICG’s Articles of Association and should furnish, upon request and under clearly defined conditions of confidentiality, sufficient information to verify the membership class. For example, organisations that wish to apply for MICG Corporate Membership should enclose a copy of its constitution or Memorandum and Articles of Association (whichever relevant) together with its application form. MICG is not responsible for, nor does it screen or certify, the corporate governance policies or practices of its members. Membership of MICG therefore should not be regarded or used as a sign or certification of corporate governance quality.
